The process of adding backlinks by any of the available methods (click here to learn how to add your backlinks) can take a while, especially if you have a lot of them.
The reason for this is that we not only add or import the backlinks, but we also analyze them to check the status and pull important metrics.
Here are some of the backlinks data points that we pull and analyze:
- Source page meta tags
- Source page status (page not found)
- Backlinks status (found, not found)
- Backlink type (DoFollow, NoFollow)
- Backlink anchor text
- Target URL
- DomainScore of the source domain
- PageScore of the source page
Analyzing the data and importing may take a while, depending on the number of backlinks.
Fortunately, once the process starts, everything happens in the background so you can leave the page and continue with your work.
During the import process, you will see a notification bar letting you know about it. When the process is completed, we will email you to let you know and the notification bar will disappear.
